My work delves into growth, integrity and terms of personal freedom and how we negotiate these. I often use the female figure, motherhood/womanhood in todays society to explore us being exposed to constant personal limitations on the one hand and experiencing unlimited possibilities on the other. Another element in my work is the paradox of longing for nature while in fact creating more and more distance to it. 

I use acrylics on canvas and repurposed embroidered tablecloths. They create a visible structure and underline the multiple layers of humans, nature and their interactions.
